My favorite 8 letter word…SKINCARE. Like truly, I love skincare. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing what has worked for me. While I feel like I’ve come to know quite a bit about skincare, I fully acknowledge and admit that I AM NOT AN EXPERT.  With that in mind, I thought it would be advantageous to sit down and chat with someone who is. Meet Dr. Shari Hicks-Graham of Downtown Dermatology. I started seeing Dr. Hicks-Graham in early 2019 and her knowledge, expertise and genuine compassion about my skincare issues has quite literally changed my skin’s life. Hormonal acne can be downright depressing and leave you feeling hopeless. That was me. But after meeting with Dr. Hicks-Graham during my initial appointment, I felt encouraged and ready to tackle my acne head on. And I did. You can read a little bit more about my journey HERE!

Dr. Hicks-Graham, a board-certified Dermatologist, started at the Downtown Dermatology practice in 2005. From general dermatologic care to aesthetics to surgical, she truly loves it all. In addition to the practice, Dr. Hicks-Graham is the creator of LivSo, a collection of hair products focused on cleansing, moisturizing and nourishing the dry and itchy scalp. LivSo has garnered noteworthy mentions from Allure, Oprah Magazine, and others! To put it simply, Dr. Hicks-Graham is a GIRLBOSS. In our chat, she shares a bit more about how she landed on dermatology and shares some solid advice with us regarding all the things…sunscreen, essential skincare products we need in our regimen to the value of home care vs. services and more!

  1. I’m obsessed with skincare too! I’d rather take great care of it now and prevent issues than try reversing issues. I need to find a good dermatologist in my area.
