Few people know this, but one of the things that really peaked my interest in Fashion was Boutiqe shopping. I’ll never forget my first time walking into a boutique (it was February 2008) and what it felt like. It was truly something special. Not only was the experience special, but the variety and selection was completely and utterly unique. Since that day, which was nearly 10 years ago, I made a vow to explore and discover as many boutiques as I possibly can.
By way of Darian, I had the opportunity to learn about Maven Womenswear, a unique and eclectically curated women’s boutique located in Lafayette, LA. Just think New York City fashionista style meets Lafayette and that pretty much sums up their style and vibe. It’s on trend, feminine and perfectly chic.
For our trip down to West Texas, Taylor and I had the opportunity to style a few pieces from Maven. I’m kinda torn on which look is my most favorite, but I think I am going to have to say Look #1. There’s just something magical about an oversized Kaftan that makes my heart happy. What I really enjoyed about all of these pieces from Maven was the QUALITY. I felt completely comfortable in everything I was wearing. Considering the heat in West Texas, it (the fabric and how it feels on your body) is most definitely something you notice about your clothing choices a bit more quickly. Each of these pieces breathed beautifully, which meant that I could focus on striking a few poses for the camera.
