Hello Holiday Week. With the official season change and it being Christmas week, we can fully embrace that winter is here. I must admit, I don’t love winter as a Midwestern, as I am from the South and like it a touch warmer, but I do love the fact that I get to marvel in and really enjoy cozy winter/cold weather clothing! Perhaps living in all my favorite oversized sweaters and various textured fabrictions is the highlight of my life from November to until about April. It always feels a bit bittersweet packing them up towards the end of April, knowing that I won’t see them until November rolls back around. But enough reflecting on that, as I am vowing to live in the present and stay focused on the now. And NOW is cold weather fashion…eeeek.
Knowing that life would be a touch different this holiday seasom due to the sheer nature of all that is happening, I made a style promise to myself many weeks ago and that was to stay chic this holiday season. Keeping it cozy of course, because life is a bit more cozy these days, but chic for sure. There’s just something about taking your dress up a notch for Chrismtas that feels right. And honestly, it’s something that you do for yourself…to feel good…to feel stylish and so on. With the holiday style promise in mind, I found a few new gems from Walmart that most defintely fit the bill for me. As I have shared with you gals before, Walmart has become an online stop for me while shopping online to find great pieces that are trendy, but affordable. Like this oversized camel knit by Scoop (currently wearing it now as I whip up this post) that is $19.99 and comes in a few different colors that I think I now need, since Winter is officially here. And these faux leather pants from the Sofia Vergara collection at Walmart, which will be a fun wear for the entirety of winter into early next season. What I love about both of these pieces is that they can be worn jazzed up like I am sharing here with the fun mules by Scoop or worn with combat boots, giving you true style versatility.
So, yeah, that’s my holiday style promise, to be chic and cozy and I certainly believe this outfit does the trick!
