If you’ve been following me awhile now, then you already know that I have infinite love for evening wear. I am personally convinced that my love for gowns started at a young age, thanks to dance and my participation in pageants. Yup, typical Southern Bell here. One of the things I was saddest about when retiring from both dance and pageantry in my early 20s was giving up the idea of dressing up regularly. Being and feeling fanciful, so to speak. However, there has been no shortage of dress up worthy moments in my life thusfar.  In fact, as life continues to expand for me, I have come to realize the great need to quickly find unique evening wear options. If I feel this way, then I am 100% certain I am not alone.  In most moments, you simply do not have time to search the Internet for hours and hope that it works out…you need a boutique visit!

David’s Bridal just recently re-opened a location at Easton Gateway (which is just busting at the seams with all the new shops) and ladies…HOLY WANDERLUST. Not only is the space amazingly chic, but the merchandise is pretty killer. Before we go any further…Yes, I am talking about THE DAVID’s BRIDAL, known for its offerings in bridal, bridesmaids and Mother of the bride. Not too long ago, they introduced social occasion wear and it is beyond. On a mission to find some new evening wear pieces for the remainder of the summer season and early Fall, I made an appointment at David’s Bridal Easton Gateway. From entering to being greeted to having some assistance in pulling my desired pieces, it was all around a great shopping experience.

In addition to a great shopping experience, I found TWO GREAT evening wear pieces!

Up first, this Striped Off-The Shoulder Jersey Trumpet DressI cannot lie…I felt like Olivia Pope when I put this dress on. I mean, she would totally wear this to a State Dinner at the White House. Currently on sale, I styled this black and white dress with summer accessories to make it perfect for a late afternoon/evening summer wedding. What I love most about this dress are the endless options. You can style it more casual as I did or dress it up…the style options are truly endless here. Also, this is one of those dresses you will have FOREVER! A classic black and white stripe never goes out of style.

Secondly, this Criss Cross Halter Jersey Dress screams red carpet status. I am not 100% sure which celebrity I felt like here, but I knew that I loved it.  The criss cross halter is super flattering and the thickness of the straps are just perfect. For a pop of sass, I love that this dress has subtle illusion panels. There’s no doubt about it, this dress was made to be dressed up. You gals already know I am a gold accessory and nude shoe kinda gal, so I reached for those accessories to further enhance this dress. I’m planning to wear this white gown to a Fall gala (and yes, it will be after Labor Day).

So, just in case you haven’t gotten the memo, David’s Bridal at Easton Gateway needs to be a stop for ya next time you are looking for some great social occasion pieces. Not only is the variety amazing but the prices are just a great. And mostly importantly, I can guarantee that you will have an amazing shopping experience.
