One of my most favorite holidays of the year is New Year’s Eve! It is one of the few holidays that you can wear gobs of sparkles and it be completely ok! ha. After styling a super cute look for New Year’s Eve and planning a fancy smancy soiree, Jason and I came down with the stomach flu (along with everyone else in the Mid-Ohio Valley) and had to cancel the party. As you could imagine, I was pretty bummed. Mainly because I could not wear my new sequined skirt…but then I remembered my lovely blog readers. I figured I could at least share the look with you guys! So here it is….Hollywood Glamour aka Candace’s New Year’s 2014 outfit.

Just in case you guys didn’t know, I am the queen of finding things on sale! Although the skirt was a Christmas present from my little sister, we were able to get it for $35 during Express’ holiday sale! Perfect price. Also, perfect length and fit! The only thing I don’t really like is “HOW” extremely high waisted it is, but other than that…perfection!

Ok, so I thrifted this fur vest from Chic Thrifty via Instagram! Karla Reed has labeled herself as a thrift store addict..and she’s pretty dang good at if you ask me. @chicthrifty you can follow and shop some of her fun thrift finds and they are wonderful. These shoes are also thrifted! I got them about 2 years ago. I love that the design of the shoe combines gold and silver, sequins and even a little pop of color.
This cute earrings are from the Simply Vera Wang collection at Kohls! I actually wore these earrings when I first walked down the aisle with Jason at Katelyn’s wedding. So, I consider them magical and only wear them for special occasions.

Different…but WONDERFULLY SO! I really like it. It’s not a “safe” look, but it’s pulled off really well. The skirt is my favorite piece by far, but the clutch and heels are awesome! I love it!
