Get The Look Thursdays: Before I Die…(& Giveaway)

In hopes of creating a really interesting and entertaining blog, Kimberly and I go to great lengths to find super cool locations for each post. After all, it’s the pictures that make the blog! So naturally, when we heard about our friend Jorge’s Before I Die Wall Project, we knew that we had to add it to our list of “must shoot locations,” and boy am I glad we did. The weather, the lighting, the atmosphere…perfect. Also, I’ve been dying to share some t-shirt styling with you guys and this location/event just screamed t-shirt swag.

Ironically, most of my outfit matched the entire design concept of the Before I Die Wall…I would say that’s pretty impressive. lol. Any who, by now most of you know that I’ve had these white jeans for the last 4 years and that I’m absolutely obsessed with them. Just in case you haven’t gotten the memo about my great love for these jeans…white jeans are essential. Your closet NEEDS to have a pair! That is all. 

Yes, I own a Celine’ look alike bag (which according to Fashionista.com is one of the most imitated purse shapes of the season)  and I’m not ashamed. Let’s be honest…I cannot afford a $2000+ handbag (at least not yet). So in the meantime, I will enjoy carrying this wonderful “look alike” that my sweet friend Francesa sent me from Italy. Also, I should note…there is a major difference between a “look alike” and a counterfeit product. I am in NO WAY endorsing that you should purchase counterfeit products. Just FYI : )

Ok, I have this weird obsession with t-shirt styling these days! I’m convinced that I enjoy the challenge of making t-shirts fashion forward! Some days it’s amazingly easy and then some days…it’s a huge undertaking in which I just give up and throw a mild temper tantrum. Luckily, styling this Johnnyswim tee was super easy, as I had just received a stash of jewelry goodies from Heirloom Finds! Upon selecting the Crystal Floral Statement necklace and earrings, I just knew that I had to pair it with a rocking t-shirt, as it would spice up a tee and give it a little fashion life! Well, it did just that. Also, I should mention that the iridescent hue of the necklace and earrings beautifully highlight the slight shimmer in the blazer, making it appear richer. 

Because everyone likes a “Little Party in the USA” posing. 

My advice for you today? Explore the t-shirt trend. Have fun with it. Enjoy the process of discovering what works and doesn’t work for you. We are all different! Also, don’t be afraid to adorn your t-shirt swag with some jewels. Adding chunky jewelry makes the t-shirt thing feminine and chic. So, go for it and know there is no wrong answer, because style is personal.
