No October is not complete unless you make a trip to the pumpkin patch! With both of our rather insanely busy fall schedules, Kimberly and I penciled in some time to make a trip to the pumpkin patch, only to discover that it was the unorthodox pumpkin patch. It appeared to be more of a pumpkin stand, than a pumpkin patch. Despite the strangeness of the situation, we managed to find a few good pumpkins and snapped some quick photos before things got any stranger than they already were. I mean, it was kinda creepy. The things that we do to have good blog photos…#thestruggleisreal.

This is seriously the largest pumpkin that I’ve ever seen! Well, other than the pumpkin from Cinderella that was turned into a carriage. Yup, I love Disney movies.

GW0A2245So, Anthropologie changed the handbag world when they made the Camille crossbody bag. In typical fashion craze, this beauty sold out before I could get my hands on one. Lucky for me, my friend Jamie snagged it and she kindly let me borrow it. One of the greatest things about having girlfriends…you can share your closets with one another!

You can never go wrong with a great statement necklace, especially if it has pearls! I love the cascading effect of this necklace and how it remains to be it’s very own statement in an outfit that combines various colors and textures. Simply stunning!

Putting together this outfit was a little unorthodox for me, as I typically invest lots of time in planning my looks for the blog. This time around, I simply pulled out all of my favorite pieces (including accessories, nail polish and lipstick(s)) in hopes that they would work together and to my surprise, they did! There wasn’t one single thing that I had to tweak. So, I share this to say that, it’s ok to be a  “unorthodox” in your approach to styling. You don’t always have to do what you normally do. Give yourself freedom to explore, as you often create your best style work when it is organic, fresh and unplanned.

  1. Love your boots! Can you tell me if they are the wide calf version? I am looking to get a pair and trying to decide which one I should I get. I want them to fit like yours.

    1. Hi There!

There is a wide calf version of these beauties! But I would check Amazon as these boots are from last season and may be sold out in stores. Also, check Zappos. They are the BCBGeneration Joseff Boots : )

      xoxo,
