Welp, #nyfw has come to an end. Those ten days always seem to fly by sooo incredibly fast, but such is life. Any who, I was able to sneak away from the craziness of life for the final show of the week, the Sherri Hill presentation. First, just let me say, I have been in love with Sherri Hill‘s designs since 2008, when I started competing in pageantry. There is just something magical about her gowns. The look, the feel, the fit…it’s just absolute {incomparable} perfection. So, as you can imagine, attending one of her #nyfw shows has literally made my year! Ha.
Above, you’ll find a quick peak at some of my favorite pieces from the Fall 2015 collection, as well as a close look at my outfit. It was literally freezing and I think my outfit choice was suitable for both the weather and the #nyfw vibe. To be honest, I had purchased and styled a completely different look for the evening, to only realize, while packing the night before, that I wasn’t in love with it. I hate when that happens. So, two hours later I found myself wearing a vintage dress that I received last Christmas and my dream blue coat. It’s such a great coat (not very warm in below freezing weather, but cute)! I knew that I would need a little pop of color to really make the shades of blue stand out, so I went with Gemma by Stila Cosmetics. Upon arriving to NYC, I set out to find a new statement hat and a pair of black boots. Well, I found the perfect hat at H&M. Easy. Finding really great black boots. Not so easy. Thankfully, Jennifer, my sweet friend and date for the evening, allowed me to wear her 50/50 Stuart Weitzman boots. Y’all, these boots are a dream and I must own a pair! So, I started saving my pennies this past week, because its soooo gonna happen!
