The best thing about having a best friend as a sister-in-law is that you text 24/7 about EVERYTHING. In fact, Katelyn {aka Kate} and my latest thing is approving one another’s Instagram photos and potential clothing purchases, via text. Just a few short weeks ago, Katelyn was shopping at the Gap in hopes of finding some new performance looks and sent me a picture of her wearing this super cute flair mini dress and asked for my thoughts. And of course, I gave her the green light! I mean seriously, this dress is adorable. Only problem is that Kate was hoping to find it in black. Soooo, since she didn’t want the gray colored one, I kindly asked her to snag this color for me. After more back and forth messaging, we nailed down a size, Katelyn purchased it and even found the black one at another Gap location. So, all in all, her shopping adventure was a win for both of us! haha. But on a styling note, upon receiving a pic of this dress from her, I immediately knew how I would style the dress if given the opportunity. The shape and texture (it feels like sweatpants) just screams sporty chic, which means over sized aviators and converse were a must for this dress! To give it a bit of a feminine flair, I decided to make it a little more fanciful (is that a word?) by adding a bold lip, pearl earrings and a traditional, but unique handbag! I absolutely love this look and I’m looking forward to wearing it in real life here soon! I’ve been so busy with school that I hardly ever leave the house except for blog photos or events. Just 14 more days and I’ll have a nice three week break before summer courses begin. Let’s just say, I cannot wait until next May to come, because I will officially be done with school for the REST OF MY LIFE. Yaaaasssss. That being said, I may be a little distant over the next couple of days as I complete finals projects, papers and assignments, but know that I am thinking of you guys and cannot wait to share some of my summer inspired looks with you all : )
