On this day, two years ago, Jason and I made a commitment that would forever change our lives…MARRIAGE. Without getting all mushy, I seriously cannot believe it’s only been two years! It feels like a lifetime already. With year one under our belt, year two presented us with a season of new challenges (such as graduate school, career changes, etc) that seemingly accelerated our relationship and deepened our love in a way that I cannot explain. Despite the growing pains and learning curves of making life work for each of us, I am truly thankful to be doing life with this man. I couldn’t imagine having a better leader and partner in crime.

Last year, we took One Year Anniversary photos and loved them sooooo much that we decided to make this a part of our yearly celebration. Also, I received such amazing feedback from you guys after posting last year’s photos, I just knew that I had to do it again. I determined that I kinda love the picnic theme, but wanted to change it up a bit for this year’s shoot. In hopes of making it different, we teamed up again with Sarah Rowan of Callie Anna Wedding Design and included Caroline of Passiflora. Caroline is an amazing florist based out of Marietta, OH. She’s truly an amazing artist with a genuine passion for florals. My goal this year was to give the shoot more of a dreamy-esque feel and nothing screams dreamy quite like a flower crown, beautiful bouquet and a cake adorned with fresh flowers. So, a big thank you to Caroline for joining the fun to help make the overall aesthetic more dreamy than I could ever imagine!

Just to give you guys a little background information, Jason and I walked down the aisle at my friend, Katelyn, and his brother, Chris’ wedding back in 2012. You can read more about our crazy, Lifetime movie story HERE. To pay homage to the place where it all begin, we captured these photos at McDongough Park in Vienna, WV, which is where Chris and Kate got married! To this day, I’m still in awe of how Jason and I met. Most definitely a God thing and here we are today, celebrating “Two Years” and many more to come!

“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
