If you follow me on Instagram, then I’m sure this dress looks familiar! In fact, I wore it 33 days ago to New York City Ballet’s 2015 Spring Gala. Prior to getting married and relocating, I lived in New York City and attended New York University, which opened the door for an internship at New York City Ballet! Ever since I was 15 I have always dreamt of working at the ballet…sometimes I still cannot believe that I have wandered the halls of one of the World’s most elite dance companies and that I have the opportunity to periodically go back…I could just pinch myself. Any who, the theme for this year’s gala was centered around the premiere of  NYCB’s rendition of “La Sylphide,” which is one of the longest surviving romantic ballets. The invitation for the bi-annual gala included spring-like hues of green, blue, purple and of course, yellow. In preparing my look for the evening, I decided to use the thematic colors as my guide, which explains how I ended up wearing this dreamy yellow gown by Sherri Hill. Just in case you haven’t noticed, I have great love for Sherri Hill! I mean, no one and I REPEAT, NO ONE can make evening gowns quite like Sherri Hill. I love how each of her designs embody elements of sweet femininity. I’ve been wearing Sherri Hill designs since I was 18 and even at 25, I still get that dreamy, fairytale-esque feeling when I try one of her designs on…ahh. This particular gown is from the Spring 2014 Collection, which is still available at select Sherri Hill retailers (visit HERE for store locator). Below you will find a couple of my most favorite strapless, chiffon gowns by Sherri Hill. And yes, they are just as dreamy as this one, if not more so.
