First things first…Yes, this is the sweater from Friday’s post. And yes, I’m the weirdo who wears a textured sweater and denim shorts together. Now that we’ve covered that, I feel comfortable moving forward.
While I do love fall clothing, the beautiful leaves and PSLs from Starbucks, sweet summertime is my first love. As you may have noticed, I’ve been hanging on to every last drop of summer! I seriously cannot believe that October is basically here. Although we’ve now had the offical season change per the calendar, it still doesn’t feel like fall to me. So, rather than jumping on the “YAY, Fall is here!” bandwangon with my wardrobe, I’ve been taking it nice an easy. My latest summer to fall transitional look included a J. Crew Factory Cuffed Denim Short and this Old Navy Textured Sweater (which is currently on sale). As I mentioned in a post from last week, I absolutely love the concept of mixing and matching clothing from two completely different seasons and making them work together! It’s not uncommon to see a sundress and a sweater, but denim shorts and a chunky sweater…kinda odd, but hey, opposites attract. I’m living proof of that! I married a fiery strawberry-blonde who couldn’t be more oppoiste of me and we’ve totally made it work. In fact, we compliement one another beautifully!
