It’s hard to believe that the week I soooo look forward to for MONTHS has already come and gone. And yes, I am talking about New York Fashion Week {aka #NYFW}. I’ve been going for the last little bit and I swear each season presents a new window of opportunities. I am so, incredibly thankful! With this being the HARDEST quarter of graduate school, I knew that I could not stay in the city for the entire nine days, but I did make it my business to be there Thursday-Sunday. Oh, and I guess I should mention I had previously been in Georgia for 10 days before #nyfw. I came home for LITERALLY three days to unpack, write a 15 page paper and pack again! Thursday’s adventure to the city started as a very interesting one as it included waking up at the crack dawn and having a 7 hour delay. 4 delays later, I finally made it to City.

I knew Friday would be a busy one, so decided to go with more of a causal fancy smancy look as I knew I would be running around. My day started at 7:30 AM and ended at 12 AM.. Friday’s agenda included the Kate Spade Presentation, a quick pitstop by Row Hotel to meet with Jessa to make some magic, a dash over to the “new tents”,  to Gotham Hall to help/watch the Sherri Hill presentation, amongst other things! With the below freezing temperatures, I tried my earnest to layer to the best of my ability. One thing that’s hard about February fashion week is finding the balance between being stylish and warm! I learned my lesson last winter when I nearly froze for wearing the thinnest jacket ever. Any who, I decided to keep my color palette perfectly neutral to allow optimal layering. Overall, I would say that I accomplished my goal of stylish warmth! Oh, just in case you didn’t see on Instagram, I meet Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam while wearing this look and she said and I quote, ” I love that scarf!” I totally did an inside happy dance : )
