Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been riding the blogging struggle bus since about mid-May. In hopes of focusing all of my time, efforts and energy into my capstone project, I made the executive decision to take a small hiatus from my weekly blog routine. Well, I didn’t think that 21 days would mess up my groove thang, but it totally did. I guess the saying, “It takes 21 days to form a habit” is beyond true. Any who, since about June, I’ve been struggling to find creativity to do this blog thang. However, after a long come to Jesus meeting with myself and a pep talk from my blogging fairy godmother, I’m feeling good about the next chapter of Live Love and Read. I’m working on some new collaborations, sharing a new content series entitled “Truthful Wednesdays” and also incorporating more travel-esque content. Oh, I am currently planning a little blog facelift. While I am not exactly super stoked about the lack luster that has been happening on here for the last little bit, I’m excited and thankful that it’s cultivated some new ideas and refueled my passion. Sometimes with blogging (or really anything with life) its so easy to become complacent with your routine, which can then lead to boring and dead content. Any who, enough of my spiel. Just so you are in the loop, Monday’s will be a fresh look, Wednesday’s will be truthful and Friday’s will either be another fresh look or some type of review or insighlt post about a product I love and/or am testing. Of course this is subject to change, due to what is happening in life, the retail world and all that other good stuff!

Ok, moving on to the actual look. So, if you’ve been following along via Instagram and Snapchat, it’s no suprise that I have major love for the off the shoulder trend. In fact, I’ve already done two summer style posts spotlighting off the shoulder tops {see HERE and HERE}. While this may sound weird, I really like collar bones and I think that’s why I’ve grown to love the off the shoulder trend. I know…it just sounds weird. Another trend that I’ve fallen in love with is the tassels/pom poms adornment. However, until this top, I had not actually tried it. To make an incredibly long story short, when I happened upon this top, I knew it would make a great addition to my summer wardrobe. To enhance the femininity of this top, I decided to pair her with a denim skirt rather than jeans. Continuing with the tassel trend, I went straight for this cute baby bucket bag that I got just a couple of weeks ago for my birthday! To seal the deal on this look, I finalized it with my favorite summer heeled sandals, oversized eyewear, the simplest earrings from Charming Charile and a soft nude lip. Gah. I sure do love this top.
