I feel that I should queue up “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay”, the Sara Bareilles verison, for today’s post. I always love creating imagery with Kimberly and seeing what we come up with together. Hands down this is one of my favorite shoots. The colors, the scenery, the everything is absolutely dreamy! Guys, I’m basically standing on the edge of a lake. Now if you don’t think that is cool, something is seriously wrong with you. Just joking.
Often times, new wardrobe purchases make their grand debut on Instagram before making it onto the blog. Sometimes, I really try to sit on things and showcase them here first. But let’s be honest, I’m like a giddy five year old on Christmas when it comes to new clothes. My excitement to style my new loves is hardly containable and I typically jump on the first chance I have to sport them. While in Atlanta for Create & Cultivate, I snagged this on a whim while at ZARA. Oh, and they were on the clearance rack (and are still currently on sale). My intial reaction to these pants was and I quote, “I love this, but Jason would die.” So, intially I put them back down. After an additional 30 minutes of roaming around the store, I decided that I could not leave without these pants, otherwise I would totally regret it. I ended up wearing them THAT NIGHT and they were a HIT. Ahh. Posted the look of the night on Instagram and these pants have affectionately acquired the name of Reese Pieces. I mean, there is no denying that they legit look like a bag of Reese Pieces. haha.
Anxious to wear these pants, I decided to style them a bit different than my intial attempt. Turtleneck and oxfords. This particular styling vibe gives the pants more of a menswear vibe, which I also love. The earrings help give it that soft touch of femininity that it needs in my opinion. Drawing on the gold and crystal like hues of the earrings, I opted to incorporate my forever faithful Ray-Ban aviators and this slightly sparkly lip color by MAC. I must admit, I am pretty excited about the endless style possibilities of the Reese Pieces pants. I can already see myself wearing them about a million different ways. And ya know, that’s typically a good sign. When you can imagine multiple ways to wear THE SAME PIECE, it is indeed a good purchase. Jason, I apologize in advance for the needless number of times you will see these pants in the coming months!

Love these photos – the backdrop is just perfect for these pants! And yes, story of my life…. my husband doesn’t approve of half of the fun things I pick up, but I usually get them anyways 😉
