There’s no doubt about it, but this year has flown by. Interestingly enough, this year has also been full of change for The Read’s. A change in priorities, a change in traditions and so many other things. Not to worry, Jason and I will be sharing our story shortly after the New Year here on the blog, so you guys are finally in the loop on the craziness that has been our life for the last 12 months. And speaking of the new Year and a change in traditions, this year we opted to switch things up and do a “New Year’s” holiday card, rather than our usual “Merry Christmas” greetings. We were totally planning on doing our standard Christmas card, but here’s the truth…we simply ran out of time. Before I knew it was December 16th and we still had not designed anything and/or finalized the address list. Thankfully, Minted rescued us! With a plethora of chic New Year’s design options and the addressing feature, we were able to order our cards by Sunday and they are already here! I really love the design we selected. The holiday photos we captured in November compliment the design beautifully.

Because we are all humans, I feel confident in saying that we are not the only ones who did not make the deadline for Christmas Cards. But here’s the GOOD NEWS, there’s still hope and time. Opting for a New Years card gives you the remainder of December and the majority of January to get those babies into the hands of your loved ones. Also, it’s different! Rather than spending the next 12 months promising to do next year’s holiday cards, just scoot on over to Minted and make it happen!

I totally believe that sharing is caring, so I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite New Year’s card designs for ya! Also, be sure to check back here early next week, because I’ll be sharing the completed design with ya and maybe doing a little giveway…just saying.

Ok, in typical procrastination manner, we are off to purchase a few more holiday gifts! Ugh.
