Casually Laced

 So, I had totally forgotten about this top until recently. And yes, that probably means that I shop wayyy too much. lol. But I found this beautiful lace adorned tee while shopping at one of my most favorite J. Crew locations in New York (the flatiron location) back in March. Unsure of how I would style it, I just knew that I could not leave without this tee or I would would regret it later. Oh, did I mention that it was on sale? I considered that a sign from God that this top most definitely needed to go home with me!

What I love most about this top is the juxtaposition of the t-shirt and lace! In hopes of enhancing the juxtaposed aesthetic, I decided to take more of a non-traditional approach in styling this top to make this more of a casual-esque look (and yes, I made that word up) and nothing screams casual quite like boyfriend jeans and converse! And for a touch of femininity, I added a bold red lip and a pearl earrings, which I thought would nicely compliment the lace trim.  All in all, I simply adore this look. Perfect for running errands or grabbing coffee with a friend!  Sadly, this particular top is no longer available, but down below you will find a few of my other favorite laced adorned tops from J. Crew.
