“Cheetah Girl, Cheetah Sistas!”

I feel confident in saying that I’ve been reminiscing on my childhood television watching days too much lately. Yes, I’ve named yet another blog post after something I used to watch on TV. And there is no denying that The Cheetah Girls was THE BEST Disney Channel movie ever! I, along with my sisters Gabby and Allison, would sing along to this movie like we were stars ourselves…haha. Oh, the good ole days! Also, I definitely think I need to add Cheetah Girls to my “Go Back and Watch” list of movies and television shows.

But seriously, you can’t deny that “Cheetah Girl” was the most fitting name for today’s post. I mean this skirt is pretty much EVERYTHING. Back in late July, I was shopping for Market and needed a BUNCH of new skirts to wear with my daily Sherri Hill tees. I wasn’t looking to spend a ton of money, so I just hit up H&M (on the right day) and found a MOTHER LOAD of great skirts, including this little pretty. She was on clearance for like $10, along with a million other skirts. A little unsure of how I would style this skirt for Sherri Hill Market week, I scooped her up as I had fallen madly in love with the scalloped asymmetrical hem line. For Market, I ended up pairing her with a Black SH tee, coach flats, this denim jacket and a killer statement earring. While I no doubt loved my look, I knew the next time I styled this skirt I wanted to give her a little juxtaposition. After all, a black tee with cheetah print anything is soooooo PREDICTABLE.

This time around, I really wanted to highlight the uniqueness of the skirt, so I decided to pair it with an olive colored mock turtleneck that I got from Meijer! Also, I should admit that I have the same style top in three colors and I AM NOT ASHAMED. Hahaha. What I love most about the olive colored top is that it helps to really pull out the peachy coral and nude tones in the cheetah print. In my quest to be more adventurous in my style, I decided to pair oversized earrings and a long necklace together…honestly…I was shocked as to how much I loved it and how much it really pulled the look together! Yay for trying new things. For my finishing touches, I decided to add these cute booties accented with gold, as they beautifully complimented my other accessory choices, a denim jacket (because I love this jacket) and a little pop of color on the lips.

Maybe it’s just the editing of the photos, but I am madly in LOVE with how this look turned out. One of the things I love most about self reflection and evaluation is that it gives you the opportunity to explore new depths of who you are! For a while, there I was beginning to feel incredibly predictable and repetitious with my style. I totally feel like I’ve stylistically discovered a new and improved Candace!

Here’s to continued self discovery and forever being a Cheetah Girl. ha.
