As most of you already know, I have a major thing for all things blush! Truthfully speaking, I’m not sure if my neutral obsession is healthy..literally more half of my closet consistent of blush, white and some combination of tan. It’s sad! Ha. Upon returning from my last work trip from Atlanta, I had decided it was high time to purchase some new denim in preparation for fall. One of my denim go to’s is American Eagle! Yes, American Eagle. The fit of their jeans work beautifully for my shape and height! Well, on this particular trip to AE I didn’t really find any denim, because I was so distracted by all of the beautiful fall dresses. I kid you not, I probably spent an hour trying on all the different dresses.  And as I’m sure you have already concluded, I did not leave with any denim. However, I did fall madly in love with this ruffle babydoll dress {that’s now on sale}. I really tried leaving without it, but I knew it would be one of those “I regret not buying that dress” moments down the road. What I love most about this piece is its versatility potential. Not only is it a great summer to fall transitional piece, but it will also work beautifully for mid-Fall with boots, a thicker cardigan and a blanket scarf. I truly believe that building a sustainable wardrobe is about making thoughtful purchases! While you may be purchasing a piece of a particular season or a particular trend {right now lots and lots of fall pastels}, I encourage you to think beyond that moment and determine how else you can wear it. The truth of the matter is that most of us common folk cannot afford to just buy, buy, buy and buy some more! Since that’s the case, we should cive thoughtful consideration to what we buy and when we buy it! That’s just my two cents…

Happy Saturday!

  1. Love this – for so many reasons.
1 – I, too, heart the AE denim. It started with the boyfriend jean and just escalated from there 🙂
2 – I love your statement about us “common folk” – it’s so true and that’s why I find you so relatable. I follow many fashion bloggers, but some just buy things I truly can’t afford. So BRAVO!
3 – just love that dress/outfit – blush is a great color on you
    Keep up the lovely work!
