ALL IMAGES KIMBERLY J.

Overalls for fall 2017? Yes, please. I must admit, I captured these super cool photos seemingly forever ago, but they are totally fall worthy! Additionally, overalls are still a very in thing, so why not share a little style inspiration with you all.

While I had been itching to get my hands on a pair of classic denim overalls for some time, I realized that wearing black overalls might give me a bit more of an updated vibe (as well as more options in wardrobe). In my opinion, black overalls are a bit more chic than just plain ole denim bibs. For this look, I really focused on combining several trends/pieces I kinda majorly love, to make one killer fall-esque fit.

When it comes to making your overalls fall-esque, I think there are a few important layers you need to focus on and that is your top and footwear. For this particular look, I wore a mock neck bell sleeve top. There’s no doubt about it, between the neckline and the sleeves, this definitely communicates that this is a cooler weather look. You could also easily pair your overalls with a cable knit sweater, turtleneck or even a thinner sweater. Because of the nature of overalls, you want to make sure your top option isn’t too bulky nor too short. You want nice smooth lines on the sides of those bibs. Secondly, your choice in footwear is majorly important. I opted for my Adidas Superstars since I’m on a sneaker kick these days, but this look could have easily been paired with ankle boots, a close toed slide or mule. To pull your fall overall look together, layer in the right accessories and you will be good to go. For me personally, I did a little over the shoulder action with a thin utility jacket and added my favorite leather crossbody.

Just a little fall overall style inspo for ya. How will you wear your bibs this season?
