I’m a firm believer that no season really has to be over! Granted it’s a little chilly and rainy outside, but there is still time to incorporate a few of your favorite summer pieces into your fall wardrobe. After all, the KEY to building a great wardrobe is learning how to make your clothing trans-seasonal. Here’s a look at how I’ve transitioned a summer-esque kimono into a fall staple.
In hopes of making this beautifully bright, floral kimono fall appropriate, I took a moment to really examine the colors in the print. My eyes were immediately drawn to the purple and magenta hues, which led me to the immediate decision of wearing a dark lip color.
From there I added a faux leather eggplant pant and suede booties. Texture is extremely important when creating a trans-seasonal look.
For completion, I added an olive green top to make it even more fall-esque, as well as gold accessories and a nude clutch accented with gold.
As you can see, this was a very simple trans-seasonal wardrobe transition! I simply allowed the print to guide me to my additions and make this a more fall inspired look. This ensemble is perfect for a casual date night or dinner with friends!
And lastly, for those of you who don’t think the kimono trend is for you, I’m here to tell you it is! There are sooooo many amazing choices. It’s just a matter of finding one that suits your personal style! So, if you are in kimono dismay, keep searching! I have faith that you’ll find the one : )
