There aren’t words to even describe how much I am LOVING the faux leather trend. It is totally giving me life right now.  However, I’ve had a hard time finding the right faux leather “ANYTHING” due to my rather bubbly butt. So for the last 10 months I have steered clear of this trend, until I discovered this little beauty in a friend’s suitcase!

I’m pretty sure I’ve had these shoes since my freshman year of college…sooo 6 years ago!

This ring was my grandmother’s brooch that I had made into a ring! One of my fav pieces.

Styling this particular look was rather simple for me! I knew that I wanted a very classic look and what’s more classic than a little black and white? And oh yes, with just a touch of red! I began building this ensemble with the black faux leather skirt that I borrowed from my dear friend Francesca. She snagged it for 15 euros from a little market in Rome. I’m hoping she can find me one when she returns home! Any who, I immediately grabbed my C. Wonder signature silk to pull this look together. What I love most about this top (other than the great quality fabric) are the gold buttons! Such a great little accent. From there I then wanted to pull together the gold buttons with a few other subtle rustic gold accents…hence the earrings, the belt, the watch and the large cocktail ring. For a little splash of color I went with a small red handbag and of course a red lip! And lastly, I added black tights and black Mary Jane shoes.

So the moral of this week’s Get The Look Thursdays is rather simple…don’t give up on a trend you love! It may take you 10 months to find the perfect fit, but it will be well worth the wait! Trust me.

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy this wonderful day eating lots of turkey and spending time with family and friends : )
