Black and white. It’s simple, classic, chic and timeless. Back when I was kiddo, I used to watch my mom get ready and she ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS wore some form of black and white. I remember thinking to myself, “Why does she always wear black?” Well, little did I know at the time, but she was abiding by the fashion law of the land. It is without a doubt, that you can never go wrong with a little black and white. As my love for fashion intensified, I realized that my mom had been a key influence in teaching me that long time fashion rule. So, mom this post is for you! Thank you for teaching me how to KILL IT in black and white 🙂

STRUCTURED B&W

Structured B&W

I have a love/hate relationship with faux leather as some of you may remember. I have a rather bubbly butt, which makes it extremely difficult to find faux leather pants that don’t scream, “Hey, LOOK AT MY BUTT!” So, one day while randomly shopping at TJ Maxx (my fav place) I happened upon these Cynthia Rowley faux leather panel pants. Feeling a tad bit unsure, I still purchased them and I’m glad I did! To my surprise they are absolutely wondtacular. Not only am I wearing leather, but I also get the fit of a structured pant. Double win. #winning

Structured B&W These shoes gets more wear than any other pair of heels in my closet! They are amazingly comfortable. I am seriously considering going to buy another pair for the future, because I know I will be DEVASTATED when these beauties see their last day. P.S. These are currently available on clearance at a TJ Maxx near you! Or at least they are where I live.

Structured B&WThe only reason I purchased this top was for the 14kt gold plated buttons. I just love me some gold…ANYTHING. The gold buttons give this basic white button down a richer, more dressier look, which I really love!  It’s from C. Wonder. Almost all of their button downs have these gold buttons : )

Structured B&W The clutch I borrowed (aka stole) from my momma and I’m pretty sure those are her earrings too. Hey, why shop at a boutique when you can “borrow” from your mom’s closet? Just saying…ha. Sorry mom.

Eeeek…I just love the panel contrast. It’s stupid amazing!

So when you find yourself struggling for fresh fashion ideas, know that you can never go wrong with a little structured black and white.
