If you look up the phrase “girly girl” in the dictionary, I’m almost positive you would find a picture of me beside the definition! For as long as I can remember, I have always loved the sweet girly things in life.  Lipstick, high heels, pocketbooks, ribbons, monograms, and of course…tulle skirts! There is just something so magical and whimsical about tulle. It’s enchanting, carefree, delicate, and sweet. So as you could imagine, I was pretty stoked when tulle skirts became a fashion trend! All was officially right with the world, until I discovered how difficult it was to find “the most perfect” tulle skirt at an affordable price point. After almost 2 years of searching, one day while scrolling on Instagram I discovered Peace Love & Tulle thanks to Karla Reed of Chic Thrifty. At that moment my tulle skirt dream became a magical reality!

Sweet Somethings

Candace Fashion Tip #5436: Every woman should have a chambray in her wardrobe.   It’s a basic piece that I rely on often. When I don’t know what top to wear, I immediately go for the chambray. It never fails me!

To keep this look soft, I accessorized with gold and brown accents…hence the Ray Bans, the vintage Dooney & Bourke bag and the roped headband.

Ok, so what I love most about this skirt is three things (I couldn’t narrow it down to just ONE…lol): 1. It is has incredible movement. It just flows with the body’s natural movement. 2. It’s lined! Huge bonus considering that almost everything is see thru these days. 3. The length. It’s just perfect.

You can’t wear a tulle skirt without having a lovely bun on top of your head. That would be a disgrace to your inner ballerina.

I have no clue where this belt is from, but it’s another one of those pieces that I frequently GO TO when in doubt.

And a soft berry lip to compliment the touch of pink in my necklace and my nail polish.

While I would LOVE to tell you that I have some awesome fashion advice for you this week, I don’t! This look was much more personal for me. However, I would like to leave you with a little thought…think about those dress up clothes you had when you were a little girl that bought you soooo much happiness. Well, there is nothing wrong with finding a grownup look alike. It’s nice to marvel in those memories. Let your wish-I-had-been’s become a magical reality. As you can see…I’m all about the ballerina.
