Let’s just have a moment of honesty here…standing outside and having your picture taken in below freezing weather isn’t exactly the easiest thing I’ve ever done. In fact, the first time Kimberly and I took blog pictures together, we nearly froze to death. Frozen hands and chattering teeth…not cool Robert Frost (I love Kid President!).

For this particular shoot it was pretty cold outside and I decided at the last minute warmth was a “little” more important than fashion. So I changed my entire outfit. Also, I should mention this was the same day Kimberly and I locked her keys in the car while out on location. Thank God for Triple AAA. Minus those little details, we had a great shoot! I was very warm (and happy) thanks to my lamb’s wool jacket. Ok, so without further delay here is… Winter Sun.

Yup, that’s the jacket from NYFW. What I love about this wardrobe statement piece is how incredibly warm it is! While in New York I didn’t even wear another jacket and I was ok. Also, I’m completely obsessed with the length. I can wear it with tight skinny jeans or leggings and I’ll still have butt coverage! That’s something to be happy about.

I know, I know. This ring looks like a David Yurman, but it isn’t! I purchased it from a street vendor in SoHo. $15 bucks. As for the necklace, I purchased it back during my pageant glory days. I have no clue where it’s from! But I do remember that I wore it with this really cute white dress from H&M for the 2010 Miss Georgia Pageant lifestyle & fitness production. I’ll try to see if I can get my hands on a picture for you guys…lol.

That moment when your husband calls you and has 500 questions.haha.

My absolute favorite pair of jeans. I got these babies at American Eagle just four weeks ago for $29.99. The wash…ahhhmazing. Also, I’m really digging the shape/cut of this particular boyfriend jean. It’s not too wide and baggage like most. While I understand that boyfriend jeans are supposed to have more of a relaxed fit…I don’t want to feel like a man. So these jeans have been the perfect in between for me! And the price…you cannot beat that anywhere!

Now the story behind the oversized sunnies. You guys know that I’m a lover of all things Ray-Bans. But I recently discovered I have a love for oversized things (i..e. fur, large handbags, and huge statement necklaces). One day while repinning from a few of my favorite bloggers, I stumbled upon a pair super duper strength black frames by Karen Walker and it was like love at first sight until I realized they were $280. Being the resourceful gal that I am, I managed to find a look alike pair for $5 bucks on Amazon.

Today’s #GTLT moral…don’t be afraid to throw random things together! I created this outfit in just 5 minutes! Often times your best ensembles are created when you have less time to perfect and nitpick every little detail! So I challenge you…embrace limited time opportunities and create something wonderful. You’ll probably surprise yourself.
