Call me cheesy, but I’m still on Graduation Day Cloud 9! Some mornings I wake up in disbelief that I no longer have homework. I mean, I’m thankful that I don’t, but it sure does feel weird to ACTUALLY be done with graduate school.

For most universities and colleges, graduation day is a pretty big deal. Well, it’s definitely a big deal at SCAD. In fact, my day started pretty stinking early on June 4, as the first ceremony began at 9AM…which meant I had to be there at 7:30AM…which meant a 5:45AM wake up call. Woof. The struggle was REAL that day. However, I was pretty excited since I had a fancy new dress to wear. The Thursday before making our venture down to Savannah, I ran to Easton Towncenter to grab this lace dress that was on the brand’s Instagram a day prior. Yes, I’m a social shopper! LOL. Knowing that it would be super warm, I just knew this dress would be perfect for the Savannah heat. Lightweight and breathable. Due to time {and not needing to spend extra money} I decided to go with some of my most faithful accessories to complete this graduation day look and that includes these goregous earrings, my most favorite clutch and of course, the red bottoms! Oh, I should mention that I attempted to wear my hair down for a skinny minute, but the Savannah humidity wrecked havoc on my hair overnight. I went to sleep with it straight and woke up with a major proof ball. With limited time, my only option was a firece bun that still managed to be affected by the humidity…ugh. Note to self: When in Savannah, wear extensions!

The AM ceremony began promptly at 9AM and I must say it was the coolest thing ever! It was more like a performance than a boring graduation cermony. There was awesome music, great speeches and a killer musical theater-esque performance. Jason did take pictures and like an idiot, I did not even think to include them in this post! However, I will do a seperate post in July/August in preparation for back to school and show you guys more. The AM ceremony concluded at 10:30AM, which gave us the opportunity to grab a quick bite at The Public. OMG. The cutest/swankest spot with some killer food! I highly recommend this place for any future Savannah travlers. Once we concluded with a quick super brunch, we made our way back to SCAD for the 1PM ceremony, which was the ceremony where they actually called my name. Approximately 900 names later, my name was called {SCAD had a total of 1800 graduates this year} and just like that things were a WRAP. For a little celebratory early dinner, we ended the day at the Gryphon, yet another great food spot! All in all, it was a pretty EPIC DAY.
