IL Moda Series: Endless Rose

I love having unique statement pieces in my closet! In fact, I’ve made it my life’s mission to always shop for the unique, rather than the typical everyday pieces that you can get anywhere. One of the things that I love about shopping at IL Moda Columbus is that you ALWAYS find the unique. Whether it’s a dress, a blazer, a clutch or a sweater that you’re shopping for, IL Moda is going to have both unique and trendy, and I consider that a double win!

During my last visit to IL Moda, I fell madly in love with this beautiful black sweater by Endless Rose. I was drawn to the sweater’s layered textures (partially knit on top and cotton on bottom) and the embellished shoulder cap. Also, I should add that I absolutely love black anything (thanks to my mom) and I’m a sucker for any type of embellishment (thanks to my pageant land days), so it was simply inevitable that I would love this sweater.

For this dress up, dress down inspired look, I wanted to keep the focus solely on the sweater. To eliminate possible distractions, I decided to go with a nice, clean black line from head to toe. I’m sure you guys remember these pants from the “Olivia Pope Style” post and guess what? They are still on sale! Go get them, because they are seriously the most comfortable pants you will ever wear.  I decided to go with my BCBGeneration t-straps to give the look more of an edgy, contemporary feel. To highlight the shoulder embellishment, I added my favorite crystal earrings from Heirloom Finds. I do love a little contrast when I’m streamlining a look. So, for contrast, I finalized the ensemble with a gold watch (for those of you who are curious…yes, you can totally mix gold and silver), my brown gradient lens aviators and a vampy lip. All in all, I’m over the moon about this look. It’s well put together and structured, yet appears effortlessly chic. Perfect for a dinner date with your love, girls night out or even a concert!
