ALL IMAGES DARIAN KAYCE

Seeing Prada Marfa had been on my bucket list for quite some time. Just two years ago when decorating my office, I decided to make the iconic artwork that represents this installation art piece, the focal point of my design. Call it cheesy if you want to, but I truly felt that placing this piece of art on my wall made this bucket list item a bit more achievable…there was actually a possibility I would see it someday. More often than we care to admit, I think we all make a long list of things “we would like” to see and/or experience. However, there’s a very small percentage of us (due to different life circumstances) that actually get the opportunity to check things off that magical list. Over the course of my life, I’ve been beyond fortunate to make some major strikes through my personal bucket list and Prada Marfa was one of them.

The entire story as to how this trip came together is a unique one. Rather than sharing each and every last detail of what it felt like to experience “actually” seeing Prada Marfa, I’ve decided to keep details on this exact moment close to my heart. One of the things that is often hard about living your life on the Internet is finding the balance on what to share and what not to share. I was recently reminded of a conversation that I had with my sister-in-law maybe two months ago and how it is completely ok to keep some moments/instances of life personal. Not personal as in, “I have something to hide,” but personal in the sense that it was your moment. So Prada —> Marfa was my moment and one that I will never forget. By far one of the most magical experiences to date…it’s gonna be pretty darn hard to top it.

Cheers to adventures and all the special moments that they bring. #pradamarfa
