You already know…I’m a sucker for anything printed and anything neutral.

Maybe a month or so ago, I shared that my sister-in-law, Katelyn, and I have developed this random text message approval system that primarly consists of clothing and Instagram photos. She sends me a pic containing one of the two and I give her a thumbs up or thumbs down and vice versa. Just a handful of weeks ago, Katelyn was preparing for a big show and was on the hunt for the perfect outfit. During her quest, she happened upon this fall printed cami dress from Old Navy! For all of a skinny minute, this dress was a possible outfit option for Kate, but she decided against it. While it wasn’t the greatest performance dress, I knew that this dress had to find its way to my closet. Within a few short hours of our text conversation, I made my way to Old Navy in hopes of finding it. Upon walking in, this beauty was front and center. Naturally, I grabbed it and was en route to the checkout counter, until I got a tiny bit distracted by a table of textured sweaters! As you also already know, I love cardigans and sweaters…so of course I was distracted! Obsessed with the wide variety of color options, I decided to keep it basic and grabbed the neutral colored brownish gold.

It was never my intention to actually wear the two pieces together, but as I was preparing September’s looks, I realized that the two together could make for a killer combo! When the weather is in-between {as it is now}, I really like the concept of simple layering. As far as I am concerned, it’s the best way to kill two birds with one stone. Ok, so maybe that’s not the best anaolgy, but I know you’re picking up what I’m putting down! With simple layers, you get to dress for both summer and fall, just as I have done with this look. Oh, perhaps the best news about both of these pieces is that they are currently on super duper sale (under $50 for both). And also, Old Navy is totally killing it with their Fall pieces. So, if you’re looking to affordably revamp your wardrobe, I would most definitely encourage you to swing by Old Navy. Lots of good stuff!

And lastly, I just wanted to take a quick moment and update you guys! Life is kinda stupid busy right now. Hence the random/weird posting times, but I’m hoping to get everything back in order, starting next week! I’ve already mapped out October’s content and am currrently preparing holiday and long overdue beauty stuff!
