When it comes to cars, I’ve always considered myself to be a rather simple gal. I usually opt for the 4 door sedan or SUV in a pretty classic color. Like I said, simple (you might even add, “VERY” simple). One of the things I learned about Jason when we were dating was his infinite love of cars, especially sports cars. One could say, that to be a true Read, a love of cars is absolutely necessary, as this love for motor vehicles started generations back and was simply handed down to Jason and his brothers. After nearly 6 years of being a Read, I’ve grown to love and appreciate vehicles in a way like never before. What cultivated this appreciation was realizing that fashion is more than just clothing, but it can be found in almost everything…and that includes cars!
Just two weeks ago, Jason and I had the opportunity to venture Northwest to Toledo for a MudHens baseball game in something a little extra fancier and faster than our usual daily driver, ultrasonic electric blue RC 350 F Sport. The day our loan arrived, you would have thought that Jason Read was 12 all over again. Ha. On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, immediately following our workday, we took the Lexus RC 350 F Sport for a 278 mile round-trip for an evening of baseball, one of our favorite sports to watch together! From the 3.5 liter v6 engine to the supercar-inspired cockpit to the ability to be seamlessly connect via Apple Car Play, we enjoyed every moment of our drive experience. Not to worry, Jason allowed me to drive just a touch, but I mostly served as DJ and co-pilot, which is totally fine by me (and my preferred position when we are cruising together). Beyond our trip to Toledo, we were able to enjoy the vehicle for awhile longer and spent more of our evenings cruising the back roads. We even made a trip over to see our family, who live about an hour away from us. I asked Jason to best describe his thoughts on the RC 350 F Sport and he said and I quote, “I loved the power and agility mixed with the comfort and luxury.” Honestly, I don’t think I could have summed up our drive experience any better.
After having 8 awesome days with this ultrasonic blue beaut, I totally understand why one would make an investment in a sports car. It offers a unique drive experience that transports you beyond your normal daily life and gives you an extra dose of adventure. And without question, adventure is something we could all use more of. I truly believe that it is adventure that keeps us alive! A big thank you to Lexus for allowing us to have a small taste of life in the fast lane…and for helping me to experience fashion in a new way.
