Luxe like weekend wear? Ahhh yes, please. Unlike most folks, it’s on the weekend when I really try to step up my style game. As a stylist, Monday thru Friday I try to keep my clothing pretty simple, but stylish. Lots of running from here to there! So naturally, it’s on the weekend when I like to go the extra mile and make my outfits extra special, while still being casual, approachable and comfy, of course!

One of the best ways to achieve an elevated weekend style is updating some of your basic pieces (such as your pants, blazer, etc.) and getting those pieces in new/updated styles. For me, I chose to update my spring pants by opting for these wide leg Marina pants from Ann Taylor. A wide leg pant is a great way to freshen up your pant game, as well as create some style dimension in your wardrobe. What I love most about both styles of the Marina pant is how amazingly comfortable they are. I mean…they are truly comfy. Comfort + chic = SOLD for this style lover.

Another way to elevate your weekend wear is a fresh new blazer. This cotton sateen blazer was perfect for layering and gives your look that little extra touch of edge. When styling, be sure to roll those sleeves and scrunch at the elbow to create that true laidback effect!

And lastly, tops. I love reaching for things that are a bit more interesting and unique. Rather than reaching for a basic knit, it’s nice to find a piece that has a touch of character to it! Subtle ruffles like the ribbed knit above or an oversized pleated v-neck top can do just the trick.

As you are perfecting your weekend luxewear style, be sure to give considerable attention to your styling! Cuffing, tucking and scrunching are great ways to create that polished, yet undone weekend vibe!

Cheers to chic weekends (and yes, it’s only Wednesday, but it’s never too early to start celebrating). #weekendwarrior
