So, I’m really trying to understand why in the World it took nearly all of my 20s to develop a love for a good wrap dress. There’s something amazing feminine and empowering about wearing a wrap dress. Like its ultimate womanhood or something. Hence the title of today’s post “You Make Me Feel.” Actually, I think the title is Natural Woman, but everyone knows it by “You Make Me Feel.” It you haven’t heard this classic song by Aretha Franklin, take a listen HERE.

What’s so beautiful about a wrapdress is how flattering it is on the body! Not to mention, it’s one of those pieces that can cross over from day to night very easily. Without making this too long of a rant, a good wrap dress is every woman’s dress. Versatility, comfort and instant sexiness (without being over sexy). This definitely yet another wardrobe staple that every woman needs. I’m thinking black for optimal versatility. However, I do love the idea of having a printed wrapdress. This particularly one is by Yumi Kim. Yumi Kim is known for her NYC downtown feel with a Cali vibe. She slays both unique floral prints and wrap dresses. I have loved her designs for quite some time and finally had the chance to wear one. Captivated by the color, I selected Around Town Jersey dress in Harvest Moon Cinnamon. Thanks to the subtle blush tones in the print, I opted to pair this dress with slate blue earrings from Stella Dot. Combining the colors of the year while I still have time.

For finishing touches, I want to really highlight the femininity of this beautiful piece. In my opinion, there’s nothing more feminine than a killer pump and a classic handbag. With that in mind, of course I wore my Christian Louboutine Piagalle Follies. And of my girlfriends from NYFW, Ranti (of Ranti in Review) allowed me to borrow this gorgeous bag from JW Anderson. I’m obsessed and wish it was mine!
