At the beginning of the year, I always find myself taking inventory of my skincare regimen and figuring out how I should move forward with it. The end of 2017 presented lots of lifestyle changes for me, which naturally affects one’s skin. And not to mention, here in Ohio we are having the most brutally cold weather, which also demands taking that skincare regimen up a notch! And lastly, with 30 on the horizon, I had been itching to change up my routine and REALLY go after my silky-soft skin goals.

On a quest to finding something new, I received word about L’OCCITANE and a few products from their collection of Shea skincare products. Over the years, I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about L’OCCITANE and have been eager to try their products, but simply hadn’t yet.  So I hopped on the opportunity to give these products a whirl! With silky-soft skin at the forefront of my skin care goals, I was delighted to discover that the shea is sourced from THE Burkina Faso of West Africa and is harvested from the shea tree using traditional methods that yield rich omega 6 and karitene.

L’OCCITANE’s Shea skincare line consists of several different products, but there are 4 that translate into a super easy 3 step skincare routine:

Just image a product that does it all…cleanses, removes the makeup and serves as a toner? Welp, dreams do come true and that is exactly what the 3-in-1 Cleansing Water does!  Simply apply the product to a cotton pad and begin removing that makeup and you will experience the magic. Your skin will definitely feel hydrated and silky smooth. And the best part, this product sets the “tone” for the remainder of the process. Without question, this is my favorite product form the Shea skincare line. It makes makeup removal all the more enticing!

The cleansing oil allows you to take your cleansing a step further and really deep cleanse the skin. There’s something magical about this product and its interaction with the water that allows your skin to preserve its natural hydration.

No skincare routine is complete without a dose of cream. To complete this process, you can take your pick of The Light Comforting Cream or The Ultra Rich Comforting Cream.  The difference in these two creams comes down to the percentage of Shea. The Light Comforting Cream has 5% while the Ultra Rich Comforting Cream has 25%. What’s great about having a choice, is that you can allow your skin to communicate which one it needs most.

Without question, I’m completely and utterly obsessed with L’OCCITANE’s Shea skincare (especially the 3-in-1 Cleansing Water). I can tell a notable difference in my skin’s softness already and this is just the beginning. I’m seriously considering gifting this collection to my mom and sister’s for Valentine’s Day, as I know they would love it too!
